Now that they shut off the analog they are in low power digital. People 30 miles away like me are having trouble picking them up off the air antenna. Looks like they could of built the antenna before the day shut off? They could loose lots of money doing it this way.
They would have had to turn off the analog early to do it. Either way they'd be at low power, just that now they're not the only station to be digital-only in the area.
KTBC is on a lowered power transmitter and antenna while the permanent antenna and transmitter are being installed. It should take less than 30 days. And yes, there is some dropoff and for that time some folks at the edge will not be getting Fox 7.
