KTCK vs. Williams

Greetings fellow radio ppl..I worked for KTCK/Susquehanna Nation for about 4 years and I have some thoughts and opinions I've shared in an article which is linked below. Feel free to comment-good or bad. Also check out the rest of the site-my creative outlet. Cheers! 8)

Good post, I think Greggo got the bum rap in the whole deal. I used to work at "the nation" for a short time in 2001, so I completly understand about the "other host" deal. Everytime id run into greg in the elevators, break room,ect.. he would be a little gruff, but nontheless friendly when engaged. The other host, on the other hand, rarely made eye contact with anyone outside of his "circle" and also used others on the sales/promotions staff for his own personal service crew. Im also suprised, but not shocked, that he would seek "relations" with the occasional promotion girl

One of us has a completely different understanding of what the post said. It didn't seem sympathetic to Greggo at all and portrayed him as an aloof ahole, which he is.

Apologies, I misread the article as I scanned through it earlier because I was WORKING *clears off the egg on his face* ;)

Reading the "Nookie girl" comment threw me, since I thought the Hammer was into the more....masculine type. Now that I re-read, it does make some sense concerning his "behaviors" on and off the air. He is and was a gruff fellow in the halls of the susquehanna nation, but using the staff as his own errand boys, im not too sure of that. i'll stick to my claim he was polite to me at least on the occasions I spoke to him...

Why would someone no longer working for the station not use names when referring to the hosts? That's what made the article a little confusing.

When Corby and Mike Ryner were talking about the resignation on Thursday I noticed Corby saying how much happier he has been the last few months. It indicated to me that there was a lot of issues behind the scenes that prevented the show from being all it could be. Mike seemed to be a little livlier then prior to this announcment. Maybe with this all behind him he can have fun again.

I suspect some of Corby's uneasiness just came from the relationship of Mike and Greg. Others have said they did not talk off-air for many many months before this all blew up, which would likely make being the guy in the middle uncomfortable.

It is likely Greg blew up a plum gig he could have rode until he wanted to retire. Nobody was looking to push him out. He just blew it in a massive way.

I was listening to the show when the end came. Greggo had lost his cell phone and he was on the Onstar in his vehicle enroute to the remote. I have never seen or heard what happened there. Surely some P1 was the and saw what happened. Did he show up stoned and blow up, or did the other people let him have it and he stormed off, or did management give him a pass home?
Enquiring minds want to know.

Did Cat drive out to the remote to remove him?

You know, he may have began as a lowly ticker guy, but when your PD demands you to do anything on-air... you do that. Hopefully all of this will work out and Big D radio will be all back to normal. ;D

Greggo blew his shot. He sucks and doesn't deserve to be on the air if he can't control his cocaine addiction. He hasn't added anything for several years, P1s should be happy that he is gone.
