I'm ready to call 'failed bit" and shark jumpage. The jumbling of hosts is OK for a day and I guess if you want to say 'have fun for a day' that's OK too, but Gordo and Junior on tickers is too stupid for words.
We have all lamented ad nauseum that 1310 doesn't know enough about sports, so why put goofballs in a real spot to emphasize it. I would hate to see if something major broke today news-wise and they would be stuck with Gordo trying to do a 'real' ticker. Trying to throw mushmouth and other ridiculousness in his ticker just drives home how un-funny he is. The train wreck that is funny is listening to them try to do a proper update. Greggo's from last year as he struggled through them were great. Or was he struggling for another reason???

I have the feeling that if a major trade went down, a Cowboy got arrested, or a coach or GM got fired today, you'd see the elephants rushed out of the room and the regulars rushed in as soon as possible...

the Ticket "bit"...whatever it might be... is very simple. Either you get it or you don't, and if you don't think anything Gordon Keith touches is funny, well, check your sense of humor at the dial.

Fortunately the Ticket will realize that and move on, unlike you with your tired posts about the "lack of talent in Dallas radio." Give it up.

We get it. You don't like the ticket. I do. That's why there are different channels on the radio. Change it to something you enjoy. Enough people like what the ticket does to make them a top-ranked station in the market. That speaks for itself.

The ticket is about entertaining the listener. They ramp it up when serious sports coverage is necessary. They pull back and return to guy talk the rest of the time.

It works for me. I don't like everything they do but I'd say I dig at least 85% of their programming.

That's just my opinion FWIW.

Whoa Whoa Whoa... Nobody said I don't like the ticket. I believe the previous poster can attest that I have been there from day one. All I am saying is that 1. Gordo is NOT funny(IMHO). He can make some great one-liners from time to time, but his bits are just horrible. And 2. being an update guy myself, I want real news in the tickers. The breaking news bit with Gordo yesterday was run into the ground on the second go-around, So do the joke and move on.
Even with all of the static between Mr. Rhyner and myself, I have steadfastly listened to 1310. Even when I was at 103.3, my dial was still on 1310. I am just saying that some kind of changes need to be made down there on Maple. Let's face it, when the jokes run dry, you need new material. Remember, Airplane 2 was NOWHERE near as funny as the original.

Ratings, awards, nominations, prestige, acclaim and reputation nationwide aside... um, you really do work for the worldwide leader, don't you?

Subjective commentary is nice when it comes to items to be passionate about. But if you can't be objective when books and the aforementioned are stacked in front of you, keep the sack-happy slurping to a minimum and call GAC with your banter.
