KTEX DJ "Patches" Died at 65

This guy had a reputation that reached beyond McAllen TX. Everyone wanted to talk to Patches:

Former KTEX/McAllen, TX personality James "Patches" Paczkowski passed away Friday (10/22) at his ranch outside of Austin, TX. He was 65. Paczkowski worked in healthcare before starting in radio in the McAllen market in the early '90s, which included time at Country KFRQ. In Jan. 1995, he started a 25-year run at KTEX, during which he worked in afternoon drive, mornings and also served as PD. Paczkowski retired from radio at the end of 2019.
