I heard the same thing. Woody and a new girl as his side kick. They should be on before fiesta week.
Oh please. First off Kraddick beats Woody any day of the week. Yes there is a reason why the guy is in dozens of markets around the country. Second, Mix morning show isnt going to go under. Especially by the hands of Woody. Third, Mix doesnt even have the same program director that made the decision to let Woody go and replace him with Kraddick.
No disrespect to him, glad to see him doing his thing. But to see people on here say that Mix is going to go down etc. etc. is just amusing and foolish.

HAHAHAHA this is hilarious...there is NO corporate mandate on running morning shows with CC.
Please know the FACTS before ASSuming. Hands down, Kraddick does very well here. Look at the numbers in depth if you can. Also, the regular, every day listener dosen't even know he is broadcasted from Dallas... and when they DO find out, the normal reaction is "oh, ok.." and thats it.
Bottom line is..he is entertaining for the demo. We don't have to like it. But the proof is in the pudding. And not to mention the show is produced well locally and with LOTS of local liners/content.
Localism dosen't ALWAYS win. People want to be entertained more than anything...and if your 100% local and not too entertaining, the entertaining show is gonna win. There needs to be a good "mix".

Okay, maybe Kraddick isn't a corp mandate BUT Kraddick beat his chest at contract time so hard that he HAD to be in Austin and San Antonio that is WAS a mandate for KXXM and KFMK. Absolutley no question about that, and KXXM's PD at the time put up enough of a fight that it began to piss-off the folks in Dallas so he backed off and let them put him on. Kraddick KILLED KXXM for over 2 years, they have just finally begun to gain ground with the show.
And why did KXXM fight against Kraddick? Because Woody kicked butt in all the demos and was a great local talent. Hope he brings the same show to KTFM because that would give SA some good morning choices (besides KISS)

Kidd is a Great Dallas personality...he wins in other markets where there is virtually no comp.
What markets does he have dominance in...Gulfport, Albany GA, Odessa? HA HA HA HA HA
Oh yeah and where he is local-DALLAS.

Maybe The Beat...maybe, but that is not a mainstream CHR either. Just Like Rock it has a very specific lifestyle/listener appeal within the demo.
Drex left a vacuumn, you could hear the sucking sound as he left town for Chicago. Funny the guys at KISS never did understand what listeners got out of him nor Joey Dee at nights...couldn't wrap a calculater around it.
He was entertaining and local.
Woody struggled some at first, but had solid numbers when he was thanklessly booted.
Mostly a money saving strategy...surely you will admit to that.
All the woody's of the world need to stand together and take back RADIO from the bean counting, widget making, pencil pushers at the helm now.
Question? If Kidd's numbers totally tanked in SA, would CC actually spend some money on a morning show?

If this were true he would...
A) Still be on San Antonio radio after all this time
B) Still be on San Antonio radio after all this time
and E) Still be on San Antonio radio after all this time
Plus you cant say anything about Mix back then and Mix now. Two completely different stations handled by two different PDs. Mix is a great CHR.. NOW. Mix WAS an earsore back then.
Oh and say what you will about Kraddick being in mostly small markets. Whatever makes a radio personality being able to live in such a huge pad like that with a fat bank account, I would gladly take it.
This is nothing personal against Woody. But how can you say he won in every demo? I wanna see the numbers for this. I mean the guy had ZERO chance.

They all had Woody pinned down doomed to fail. Taking down Beat morning show with Danny B was no huge task. But he would have never in a million years taken down KISS mornings and or Drex. My 2 cents.

If I remember correctly Woody was still on the radio when Drex left KTFM. KISS was at the top then Woody was the #2 morning show after Drex left SA. Not sure where The Beat was back then but I know Woody did have a good following. If The Beat morning show was doing better than The Woody show. I'm sure David will chime in really soon. Nevertheless, it seems to me that BMP is finally putting together a good radio station for SA.
This kinda reminds me of the Spurs before they won the championship. No one really paid attention until they were at the top. GO KTFM!!

I admit my comments about KTFM are mostly personal...however...The numbers will tell it in the end.
* I am kissing butt, but the right butt for the right reason. No reason to kiss Magic's butt...they are going nowhere fast.
I miss Chris D on KTSA too.
Fabian is quite the self promoter-I'd be too humble to say half the stuff he does about himself.
I am a universe away from being Fabian. All I can say about him is that he has hung in there. Poor pay, doing the dirty work, getting stabbed, and he just wants it that bad.
I suspect he may only be like the white stuff in a twinkie---fillin' in TFN, but that too remains to be seen.
If this is the reward for all that he has been through-perhaps his dream was not worth it, only he can answer that.

I prefer to respect the peeps in the streets not the suits. When I had power I stayed the same. I valued the jocks and the promotions staff, and the sales staff. Not just the GM, the OM, the Sales Manager and the like.
Again...this takes me back to the movie Private Parts...when Howard had to fire the guy who just had a baby...and it made him THROW UP...
Not too many in our Biz now that would give a damn-at all.
That is just one of the top 10 reasons radio is not what it use to be.

So i've been hearing all this talk about Woody and blah blah blah. They truth is, I used to be a Woody fan but what made Woody really good was he had a KICK-ASS TEAM behind him. Jamie, Baby-Lou, JJ and JoJo were all what made "THE WOODY SHOW" go to the top.
I would definitely be listening on Monday just out of curiosity, still wouldn't be the same show though. The buzz would die after awhile. Without having the right people in place, the show might not go anywhere.
This is just my opinion so no need to reply to me personally!

ha, thanks for clarifying "english speaking"' , i'm talking overall 25-54 and 18-34 i'll check the numbers tomorrow i'm somewhat intrigued but not much.
