David, as usual, you and I disagree. This format CAN work in Houston. This format not only works for Hispanics, but Whites (which I am), African-Americans, and Asian-Americans also love this format.

Jammin Oldies on KTJM/KJOJ failed for two reasons, the signals at 98.5 & 103.3 are rimshot signals, and both stations never get great ratings in the Houston market. The format was very well received when it first came out. However, Clear Channel did what I said in my prior post, they would play the same songs over and over and they didn't try to expand their playlist any. They did not cater to Hispanics. They also did not want to hurt sister station KMJQ at the time. The second reason is when Liberman acquired these stations, they had NO interest in maintaining the format. They wanted the Regional Mexican format.
This format will work in Houston, if executed properly on a decent signal.<P ID="signature">______________
