KTHT 97.1 Is Cox Broke???

with country legends 97.1 you hear all the country legends.. Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash. yeah every single friggin hour!! talk about a lameass playlist if its the same artists over and over and over again... that station could sure be a contender, perhaps one of the most listened to classic country stations in the country if cox wasn't stupid on playlist placement. sheesh!

Just listen to an online stream of 650 AM WSM. Or on an AM Radio at night.

I'm not a insider and I say Cox sucks. They pull of limited playlists that are considered Safe to play on air. Like Cox will get sued for playing songs that haven't already been hammered to the ground on other stations. Or by playing a lost hit that hasn't had Radio Airplay in years. Why is "Jack" FM is so popular and other markets. Due to variety/ not knowing what will you hear next.

"The New" moniker can be an incident of false advertising. Making people who move locations from one area to another believe a station is "New". It can actually work to an extent.

Look at XM Radios 80's at 8. Its Playlist will kill what was KHPT. (Before the "Zone" Transition.) Same goes with Tampa Bay's WPOI. I'd admit Atlantas 97.1 The River finally got rid of "The New" moniker.
