Format abandoned on Reno airwaves​

The 100.1 frequency will be home to a new format launching on Thursday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. No details of the new format have been announced.

'The X' marks the end: 100.1 KTHX ends 31-year run at 5 p.m. Monday

The station landed at 100.1 in 1997, and although it changed ownership groups in the intervening decades, it hadn't faced an existential crisis until now.

Here is an update Lotus has announced that the station is now known as We 100.1 FM an AC station.

The Reno FM radio dial is very competitive with a lot of underperforming stations. Surprised no one has picked up the AAA format yet. Ratings wise it was doing better than a number of others. At the very least, one of the FM translators could pick it up. The listeners of the X were very loyal
