Hello guys (gals). First time posting on this. Been outta town for a few days and someone told me about the discussion here. I'm happy to discuss any of the details I can.

Go for it...discuss the details with us.

Is the station really going to be called The Shark?

Is the Rock/Jake type format really a decoy as mentioned here or is that going to be the real actual format?

Will the station have live jocks or is all automated? If live jocks...have any been recruited or hired yet? (if so, can you name some?)

If all automated is it voice tracked by you or someone else or drops/liners from your voice guy?

Speaking of voice guy? Who's doing the imaging?

Has the equipment been purchased yet? (i.e. console, EAS, automation, etc)

Have the studios been built?

Who's constructing the studios? (Engineer wise)

Is Bogey Broadcasting just going to do an LMA with Pacific Broadcasting or will there be a purchase of the station in the near future?

I've signed a two-year LMA deal with Pacific Broadcasting. Buying the station is an option and is my goal.

All the necessary and proper equipment either has been ordered or will be ordered by the end this week. The studio will be built when we move into the offices.

I don't really want to get into too much detail on the programming. I don't to show my entire hand right now. ;D

There is a definate hole in the market from anywhere to a softer classic hits to a classic hits that has a rock edge (and anything in between). There is wide spectrum of what would work in the market right now--including how much (if any) 60's you play, and do you reach into the 90's at all? Early 90's music is 20 freaking years old now!

In addition, there is also a hole for a gold based Hot AC. My goal is to fill both these format holes.

I have hired three people as of right now and there a several different people helping with the engineering/technical stuff. Anybody that knows me, will tell you that I suck at that that stuff.

I glanced back at a few postings. Just to clear up a couple things. I wasn't fired by either Convergent or Badlands. After 7 years at Convergent, I ended up leaving after a "heated discussion" with the GM. He ended being fired a couple months or so later. And at Badlands, I didn't return to work after my Mother's funeral last summer. The company owed me a good deal of money and while I was open to going back to work there, the situation had gotten so bad, I really felt I needed a break from things.

I also saw where I was given credit for screwing up the original Jake. LOL. If anybody cares, I'd be happy to share what the hell happened and why.

It was I who said you got canned by two other groups. I now remember why you left Badlands. I recall hearing that it was because they owed you money. Sorry but them not wanting to pay you is just as bad as them firing you. As far as Convergent goes I heard that you were let go. I was told that when Convergent started having money problems you were let go to help with their budget concerns. But I wasn't there and I don't know for sure so I will take your word that you quit.

Your response to my questions was very vague. It doesn't sound like you are "happy to discuss any of the details" as you mentioned in your post.

Hello.

Wasn't a question of not wanting to pay me---question of the owner not having the money and not being as transparent with me about financial issues with me as he should have been when I was hired. I should have done a better job at due dilagence before going to work there. Billing went from $1,000 to about $15,000 $20,000 per month when I was there. But that wasn't near enough to try to catch up on past bills and keep things current. Having Texas Country as your only station is a tough situation. Hard to make any money. Regarding Convergent, I resigned as I described. There were at least 5 people in the building when the situation blew up. LOL. After I left, three Convergent employees were let go for the reason you described. In any case, a 6-7 run was a pretty good one; but nothing last for ever---escpecially in the is biz!

In my post, I said I'd be happy to discuss what details I can (comfortable with). I think I gave a general idea of what we're doing and what were planning. We're working on pre-launch sales strategy now. Once we're out on the streets full force, I can be much more forthcoming.

Take it easy.

Now I know why I left or was run out of town for WINNING BIG. You people on here are mean spirited. Happens when you stay in CC radio very long.

Update. We should be on the air right around July 1. Hopefully, a few days sooner.

Drove down there this weekend and didn't hear 106.5 on the air. What's the latest news? Went to the FB page and saw pics of the new studio but didn't see anything about it being on the air. Saw the pic of the antenna posted on July 5th which said the station would be on in "justa few days". Is it still off the air?

Still not on the air yet. Got the update tonight via the FB page:

Hello. We're getting very close to coming on the air at 106.5 FM. Working around the clock at the new transmitter site. Shouldn't be long now. You can still preview the station at samplehour.com Thanks

My brother just called me and told me that 106.5 if finally on the air in Corpus Christi stunting with the theme song to the movie Jaws with some audio drops every few minutes taking some jabs at Convergent Broadcasting.

Wow! I'm shocked! I never thought I'd see the day when 106.5 would FINALLY be on the air. lol

Congrats to Pacific Broadcasting!
