KTLA 1986 Aircheck

THis KTLA 5 Aircheck includes former Current TV and MSNBC Host Keith Olbermann doing LA Sports. Back then KTLA during the Larry McCormick and Hal Fishman era was less TMZ Leaning back then and did more hard news back then. They were like the KTVU News of the LA Market back then and of course KTVU's Ron Boltz did VO work for them.

Kind of unusual - even for the mid 80s - with that long and dramatic opening. Since you're comparing to KTVU, I can tell you that in the mid 80s, KTVU's opening would have been quick, and undramatic - just like today.

And I've got to ask - no disrespect to the dead (RIP, Hal), but I remember the 60s and 70's Hal Fishman with the thinning hair. When did he start wearing that dead squirrel on his head?

Well I only meant KTLA COmpared to KTVU in terms of Content in those days when KTLA was Not TMZ leaning and some of the Borrowed CNN/HLN content that KTLA used for National and international events was well presented.

...probably around the same time that Olby started wearing that Clyde Crashcup mustache...
