KTLA Presents Comedy 'Till Dawn!

KTLA unveils a 5 and a 1/2 hour late night - mostly comedy block of shows on Monday, September 19th, that if successful, could get other stations to once more populate the third shift hours with more than just "Paid Programming". And even through there is a talk show smack in the middle of this new lineup, it's host even admits his show is not to be taken seriously.
And here it is:

11pm - Friends (Back to Back shows)
Midnight - Family Guy
12:30am - American Dad
1am - According to Jim
1:30 - The New Adventures of Old Christine
2am - It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
2:30 - The Jerry Springer Show
3;30 - Sanford and Son
4am - The Steve Harvey Show

That last hour is where infomercials would typically go, but KTLA is continuing to fill those gaps with Classic TV instead (Episodes of Dennis The Menace, and Father Knows Best are the lead-ins for the weekend newscasts)

On the daytime front, the only changes KTLA is making is replacing the 2nd run of The Maury Show with the new Bill Cunningham Show at 2pm. The new half- hour Dr. Drew's Lifechangers replaces the cancelled Tyra Banks at 3pm (Two shows back-to-back)

Sister station WPIX in New York City pretty much runs a similar all-night comedy lineup, and has done so for years. With one less major commerical station in that market (in comparsion to LA), a lot of these syndication shows need an outlet for these to air, even if it is overnights.

At least it'll give the graveyard shift people something to watch besides all-night, wall-to-wall infomercials.
