KTLK - great Call letters!

From R&R

CC Readies Launch Of FM Talk In Twin Cities

Clear Channel is moving forward on its previously announced plans to debut a new FM Talker, KTLK, in January 2006 on the 100.3 MHz signal that's currently home to Smooth Jazz KJZI/Minneapolis. New additions to the KTLK-FM lineup, which already includes Premiere Radio Networks host Rush Limbaugh and ABC Radio Networks talk host Sean Hannity, are local hosts Andrew Colton and Pat Kessler. Colton, a former ABC Radio and TV correspondent, will handle the morning show. Kessler, widely regarded as the Twin Cities' best political reporter and currently at WCCO-TV, will host KTLK's midday shift. Other personnel announcements are pending for KTLK-FM.

CC also uses the KTLK talk letters on an AM station in Los Angeles. LA's KTLK programs liberal talk.

And since each KTLK is on a different band, they can use the calls twice.<P ID="signature">______________

Also for years and years KTLK was used here in Denver on am 760 and a couple of other frequiencies before that. KTLK was used up untill about 5-6 years ago when Clear Channel turned them into "The Sports Zone" and the calls were switched to KKZN. Now the station is an Air America station, but kept the KKZN calls.

KTLK is about as creative as K-ROCK; everyone has their own version of it. KTKK in Salt Lake City (actually, Sandy) is positioned as K-TALK. Yawn...
