I am at a true loss for words. It wasn't the greatest facility in the world, technically speaking, but it was a beacon to the community it once served and had a very long and rich history. Mayor Whitehead and his wife are likely doing cartwheels in their respective resting spots.

Likely to see KEBE Jacksonville meet the same fate in short order. It, too, has been off the air since last year.

I see the FM translator had a CP to move from Rusk to Jacksonville and change frequency from 103.9 to 103.5. That gone as well?

Not that i can tell. It is a really old translator that was not permanently tied to KTLU.
And in the move to J'Ville, it is supposed to change primaries to KEBE. However, KEBE is long silent as well.

Allegedly a buyer out of Houston is interested in KEBE and the 2 translator's. KTLU may live on as a LPFM in Rusk,,,working with a group that is seriously considering filing & knows programming.

AM or FM? I didn't notice there was an FM. I'm sure I'll get the FM through tropos if it goes on the air.

I can only imagine who that might be.

Off the air? Both. The FM, located at 95.1, barely gets out of J'Ville (when it's on). The 104.7 translator has a comparable signal, if not superior, to 95.1 KEBE-FM. KEBE AM & FM have been silent since the AM was sold to NTRG. The 104.7 translator was on the air running Christian music, I believe, sans 1400 in recent months. Bill Betten would be able to verify if that remains the case presently. KWNS stops me from receiving KEBE's translator, but I have always been within range of 1400's 1kW. It hasn't come to life, at least at full power for it to reach my QSL, since July of last year. In multiple trips to J'Ville, I can personally verify that it is never operating on my numerous checks.
I've been there many times, but no, I am based in Waco.
Go Lions!

I wish I knew mister,,,,

You mean "QTH" I think. A QSL is a verification of reception, usually a postcard in the past when we actually mailed things!

Nothing on 104.5 or 104.7 as of
9-16-2023.
That's interesting. NTRG filed to resume operations for KEBE/K284CT on February 23. Nothing filed since. Thank you for the confirmation, Bill. By my count, today is the 14 month anniversary of KEBE's last broadcast. At least it's the last time I can verify its operation.

What could these 2 stations be worth? 100k? Not a market I'm familiar with but seems pretty small
