KTMR FLIPS

Ktmr 1130am has flipped can anyone give me more info on this station?

I just remembered to flip to it on the way to work this morning, I don't know much about spanish but it sounds like spanish swing type music?

I listened to KTMR 1130 on my drive into SA on 7/12. The music seemed to be Spanish oldies-oriented love songs. They were using the slogan "La Podersosa" (The powerful one.) But they are looking to broker the air time. I heard a couple announcements-- in Spanish-- asking us to be a part of the programming and call now to book your air time.

Neglected to check when I was in Austin recently, but I guess KTMR doesn't put much of a signal into Travis County. Good news for the operators of the future KTXW 1120.

Yes, KTMR revised their application and KTXW did the same. So everyone is happy (well, maybe not happy but appeased). What I can't wait to hear is what KTXW's nighttime signal on 1120 sounds like, going up against KMOX.

If KTMR revised their application, its not posted on the FCC site yet. Do you have more info on their revised application?

I should have explained that there were several "curative" amendments to one they filed back in 2007; that application superseded three other ones (two for 45kW, one for 4kW). It was approved in April, 2008 after new readings were included and more information about co- and adjacent channel protection was furnished, including radiation toward the station in Manor. Of course, it also specified a reduction in power to 25kW:

https://licensing.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/w...xt=25&appn=101235455&formid=301&fac_num=28191

Similarly, KTXW made several changes along the way.
