KTOK Simulcast on KXXY's HD2 Channel?

I noticed that KTOK's legal ID now also mentions "KXXY HD2." The legal ID sounds much like their old one, except it now says "KXXY HD2" where it once advertised Air Comfort Solutions.

I don't currently have an HD radio, so I haven't been able to take advantage of the better HD signal. I tried the Insignia one from Best Buy, but it had too many shortcomings. It was the only stand-alone HD tuner in stock at Best Buy. It would be nice to listen to their FM HD signal at night, as my house has very poor reception of their AM 1000 signal.

Has Clear Channel turned off KTOK's AM HD signal? If so, I'm glad.

If it's a tabletop try the Sony HD radio that has a iPod/iPhone dock. It will give you an excellent analog radio too!
Thanks for the suggestion. The Insignia model I had purchased was an actual tuner for a component system. I knew it was too cheap to be any good. Its line out volume was much louder than my other components, with no adjustment available. While its HD reception sounded great, its analog reception was weak and sounded muddy.

I may have to try out the Sony one you mentioned, or save up some money for a better HD tuner for my component system.

My biggest question is, will a simulcast of KTOK on an FM HD2 channel really have much of an impact? How many people actually have HD radios, or would go out and purchase one, to listen to the KTOK simulcast? There was not much of an HD radio selection at Best Buy.
