Unless you've been living under a rock, KT'R has been non-stop on the St Johns double homicide story the past two days. Aunt Carlos is doing his show live there...Cheesy Gaydos doesn't talk about anything else...likewise the Evil Joe Crummey... plus all KT'R newscasts lead with the story. About the only relief from this wall to wall coverage is during Glenn Beck and Phil Hendrie. YIKES! Nurse Jeff and I thought it was an interesting story when it broke, but with KT'R going into their third day of extended ad nauseum it's becoming as annoying as KOOL starting all Xmas Music on Halloween. The Master Blogger should stop issuing memos to his staff to cover this story or ask TMISU to move the city of license to St Johns. A local station run amok is what KTR is beginning to sound like!

I actually was totally digging what they've been doing. There's no way that kid did the crime. Everyone I know thinks he's innocent. That cop drill job was a travesty of justice. I think the mom did it and she made the kid out to be the killer. When that comes out she should be strung up.

The judge knows he didn't do it. When I was driving home I heard the part where the judge decided to let the dude out for Thanksgiving. If he was guilty the judge would've locked him up for life. You're right.
Gee, sure hope KT'R leads each newscast with this story and their talkers run it into the ground on Friday, making it four days in a row! The Master Blogger knows his listeners would rather hear about the misadventures of Aunt Carlos in Saint Johns than talk about other things. Things like the stock market tanking every day... Arizona's rapidly rising unemployment rate...tens of thousands of homes in the Valley in foreclosure....and Crappy Nappy making way for Jan Brewer to become Guv. Last time Nurse Jeff and I heard such blatant self promotion was when Aunt Carlos' show was banned from ASU shuttle buses*. Our memories may be fuzzy, but didn't KT'R lead with that story day after day and have him broadcast from a campus parking lot? That Master Blogger is one clever programmer

Have to disagree with you on this one Doctor. This murder mystery beats Crappy Nappy any day. I'm tired of hearing about the stock market tanking. I think KTAR has done a good job on this one.
Oh, pleeeeze people! Enough already! Every single day with little guy and his family! The formerly entertaining Joe Crummey is on this EVERY night, even beloved Uncle Jaybird! Thank goodness for Dennis Miller and Phil Hendrie for a change of pace!

Speaking of Phil Hendrie... I know his radio show was never the same after his return when the TV show, "Teachers", failed, but since you listen-- what in the world has happened to it now? I stuck around KTAR one night after Joe, and his first call, taken just minutes after starting the show, was an immediate shouting match. But no biggie there, as I wouldn't blame Phil when it came to this outrageous caller, but do you find the show is nothing close to what it once was? In the few recent times I've listened, it sounds like he's trying to focus more on recent news and politics. Less comedy, which he's got real talent at.

I've missed out on any shouting matches, fortunately, and most of the calls I've heard have been pretty good. Yes, very political and news oriented, but I kind of enjoyed his take. To be fair, I've only been hitting and missing on he and Joe both. I was just disappointed that my last three hits on Joe, days apart, were all on the same topic. I need to be fair to Jay as well. After everyone else talking about St. John all week, he pretty much had to do the same just to share his opinion. Back to Phil, I do miss the old show but it's been fun hearing from the "real" guy (if that IS the real guy!).

Now that the St Johns story is back burner, will KT'R have Aunt Carlos doing his show on the light rail when the trolleys start hauling fannies later this month? Can't wait to hear Mayor Flash Gordon tell us how great it is to ride the rails to Cripstown Mall. And of course Aunt Carlos will be there to talk with victims of the car vs. trolley smack down. Gee, maybe the Master Blogger will come up with some light rail gag for April Fools Day and get a Valley Metro PR person in hot water like he did with ADOT. Nurse Jeff and I agree....light rail is the next All Christmas Music gimmick!
