KT'R Snoozeroom...

...and a few other oddities.


Checked out Snooze 92/3 KT'R-FM No Static At All about 3:55
this afternoon and heard Pat with a caller (hmmm...as opposed
to his usual supporting cast...odd). Then heard Pat sign off,
but he referred to it as the Pat McBland show. Has the Snoozeroom
been dumped or was this just a one-day oddity? The KT'R website
still shows the Snooze.


The past couple of weeks I've noticed KT'R-FM has been in a
14-second delay, where previously they were either live or in
a seven-second delay. Is this just a longer language delay
or something to do with FM HD? I've never heard them promo
an HD-2 channel or the like and I'm not really familiar with what
HD does to an FM (as opposed to the dreaded AM ICRAP).

When they act as the Sports Parking Lot 620 spillover station,
will they dump the delay as 620 does on D-backs games?


A posting on the Boston radio board stated that 55/FYI PMDer
J.D. Wafflesworth is doing a fill-in this week on Boston yakker
WTKK, 3-7pm ET (12-4pm PT). Guessing he's doing it from the
KFYI plant since he's on here right afterwards, although WTKK
is Greater Media and not Cheap Channel.

Sometimes it takes a while for 92.3 to update their website. I've documented it a couple of times on this board.

At least JohnDavid takes bookings around his show and not in place of his show! ;)
 
So I listened to the 3rd hour of the Pat McMahon show and I guess the Newsroom is over. Too bad. While I didn't listen often because I was at work, I thought it was a good hour that rolled along.

I wonder if there was some kind of announcement on Friday. I think the PD owes us an answer. Didn't he say that KZON owed their fans an explanation after a change?
 
UPDATE

Pat McMahon brought up the Newsroom today. He said Gayle Bass and Larry Gaydos are on vacation, so there isn't a Newsroom this week but will return next week.
 
We aint buyin' that excuse...not when Eddie Matney, Jerry Colangelo & Skip Rimza are available!
