Subject: KTRB now operating ND Days From KFAX Site
The night signal still sucks, but at least the day signal gets to Santa Cruz quite well.
Plus, the day signal is on grid electric power, rather than on propane.
Another DLR Inc job well done.
DLR is the vaunted duTreil, Lundin & Rackley, Inc., team of consulting engineers.
I note that the signal, which was spotty at times near the Altamont in Livermore, is now quite strong and solid all the way out through Tracy on the new non-directional daytime pattern from Hayward.

I then listened near Boardwalk Bowl in SC last night, however, and 860 is nearly absent...

mofocat said:A much stronger daytime signal here in Fresno, but with a 3-5 second fading cycle, like a skywave/groundwave cancellation (@11am). The peaks are not quite equal to KGO's signal. The valley's are still listenable, but really annoying without a good AGC. My GE SRII doesn't even notice the fading- most lesser radios I've tried do.
KFAX is barely perceivable here, 860 is now fourth place of the Bay Area stations, in order is signal strength- 680, 740, 810, 860 and 1120.
