KTRH Hires New Morning Co-Anchor

Veteran television anchor Shara Fryer will join KTRH (740-AM) as a morning news anchor beginning Sept. 4, the radio station announced Wednesday. Fryer will anchor "Houston's Morning News" with Matt Patrick from 5 to 8 a.m. Fryer worked more than 25 years at KTRK, Houston's ABC affiliate, including 18 as co-anchor of the 6 or 10 p.m. newscasts. She left the station in 2006 and currently is director of the World Affairs Council of Houston.
