Colorado State University-Pueblo's KTSC-FM has filed a request for a silent STA, reporting that the station had been silent since December 23 due to a transmitter failure. Evidently, there was a paperwork mixup that caused the station to be officially listed as silent since August 11. That filing stemming from a power failure that damaged the transmitter. In its filing, the station states that it had actually returned to the air two weeks later in August. The filing adds that a resumption of operations notice was prepared but never actually filed. In the interim, the chair of the university's media and entertainment department resigned, and a new faculty advisor took over. That advisor discovered the discrepancy when trying to file for a new silent STA.
In the filing, the station says it is planning to acquire a new transmitter so that it can return to the air.
KTSC-FM is also known as "REV" or "REV 89". Its website and stream currently appear to be offline.
