KTTY 105.1 Texarkana Returns With Classic Hits

It sounds like the new owners are actually putting some effort into this venture. It's been many years since ANY of the radio groups in TXK put any effort into their stations. Wasn't 105.5 translating KCMC? Seems like that would be a better use for that translator, because KTTY 105.1 actually puts a pretty decent signal into Texarkana.

I'm not sure which station 105.5 was translating most recently. However, I see what they're trying to do. 105.1 may have a decent signal on good radios, but everyone has a bad radio or two, and the signal's not going to be so good there. That means your average listener isn't going to give a second thought to it. 105.5 gives it a signal comparable to 95.1. So, it's at least up to the level of its competition, if not slightly better.

KCMC was most recently on 105.5. There also simulcasting on 940am so that should give them the coverage area of KOOL 95. I would think they could have put the format on 101.7 to get the same coverage area as 3 stations but they may have bigger plans for Bob

Beatles

Please don't play Beatles music after lunch. We listen all day and know that the Beatles play at 4 pm... You're getting us all excited about being almost quitting time just to be completely let down! ;-)

LOL, Unregistered, sorry but this isn't the station itself. Please direct your comments directly to them.

Do you honestly think that by banning an established icon whose career spans 30+ years is going to make a difference? Perhaps you're just desperate to ride the coattails of another's success for relevancy because in 2005 she altered the lyrics to "I Love New York" where she said, "just go to Texas where George Bush can suck my dick." Simple minds can't be bothered to do any fact checking either, but credible you aren't. Look, radio is for poor people these days. In fact, I'm shocked you haven't been made privy to all the platforms available of which to access the entire Madonna catalog without having to listen to morons in between plays. If it's a punishment over royalties, you also missed the fact that her last tour grossed close to a billion dollars and that her net worth is half a billion. You should be thanking her.
