KTU

Yes, the station leans on Rhythmic AC, R&B and Old School cuts, but that said,

WKTU tells the world that America "gets it" in terms of dance music, even though most of the rest of the US hasn't followed suit yet. It exemplifies New York as America's truly international gateway.

On a personal note, I hope to get to NYC one day soon for the first time, to hear this station in person and to experience the city.

& MIX

don't forget MIX 102.7 which actually does a fine if not better job of spinning all rhythmic dance ac, r & b and old school.
Of the 2 stationl KTU leans much more on current dance especially on weekends and evenings. They also have lot's of latin with the "Latin
Free For All" which I believe airs weeknights around midnight. That may change though with the new game player on board, LaKalle at 105.9fm.

Re: & MIX

Of course MIX does a better job at playing the classics... they are exclusively classics, but KTU has always done a good job at playing everything dance... slow, fast, old, new, and yes even latin... and I doubt Jewelz will change how her show goes just because their is a new player. People like her, like the show, and dance fans are extremely loyal listeners.
Edited by JustinCase on 06/15/05 04:01 PM.
