KTVK to drop GDAZ

Former 3TV'r Dan Davis has reported that he has information to confirm that KTVK will drop it's late morning half hour newscast, "Good Day Arizona" sometime soon. No other information has been reported as to what program(s) will fill the timeslot or how it will affect personnel at the station.

WHAT! We have a channel 3? When did this happen? Why doesn't someone inform me????? <g>

Yes Virginia, er, landtuna, there is a channel 3! And also perhaps life after death.

I guess time will tell, but KTVK has certainly been a bunch of busy beavers over there.
Lots of news coming from that channel located between the 2 and the 4, which some like to call "3."

To bad about 3TV trying to get rid of Good Day Arizona At Noon (GDAZ). We now move the dial over to Channel 5 , 10 or 12 at Noon. It will be ok if they don't have a newscast at Noon . Channel 15 also decided some time ago to scrap there midday newscast to. Channel 3 has done some interesting things lately. I wonder what will happen to Frank Camacho who does the 11am newscast do.

Gosh, you guys. This is a move that's been rumored for months. But it will be several more months before it actually takes place. The station is making other news show changes as well but no firm times have been given. Any other questions? www.tinyurl.com/tvpeeps :)

You chastize us, but provide no details. Nobody has previously posted anything here about GDAZ being cancelled or any other 3TV newscast changes (except Kaley's arrival). There are no other details on the linked website except ancient news (e.g. Brad leaving GMAZ).

That particular column on Phoenix Examiner TV is written by a disgruntled former 3TV employee. Not someone who was laid off...someone who was fired for dishonesty.
So anything that he "reports"...realize it's with a serious bias.

And I STILL don't get why these people can't let go of the past. The start of this post claims that Dan Davis has "reported." Dan was laid off from 3TV 6 months ago!!! He can't report anything legit.
Olivia Fierro quit 3TV 5 months ago. Yet she "announces" on her Facebook page about her 3TV replacement.
And Scott Davis, who writes that Examiner column, was fired years ago...yet continues to "report" on 3TV.

What is wrong with these people??!!

I'm sorry but I did not see these stories on my AP wire nor TMZ!

Just because people don't work at 3 anymore does not mean that they don't know what is going on. Sometime because they don't work there anymore, they "can" say what is going on.

I think that's a good point.
Of course many ex-employees maintain their past relationships at some level. In some cases they may be great sources of reliable inside info about their past employer and their personnel.

Hey folks... Yep- I was "escorted out" two years ago for violating a station policy.. and I accepted the consequence. But "disgruntled?" That's a harsh and incorrect characterization, especially when you've never asked me about it. I guess you didn't go to the huge party that was organized for me a couple weeks later. Truth is, I had a great time at 3 but my life has never been better than it is now. I do lots of different freelance work, including reporting for Examiner (when I have time) on all TV stations in Phoenix whether I've worked there or not. I'm fair; I'm open. Now, Market15schmifteen, who are you?

Scott
