Maria on the 4pm edition today was reporting on the devastating Typhoon that struck Japan. Seguing to another story,she dais the rains from that typhoon was causing flooding in Bangla Desh. This would go down in history as the largest ever Typhoon,Hurricane in the history of the world. Bangla Desh is is about 20,000 miles(approx) South-Southeast of Japan, but hey REGENT figures nobody would notice. ::)

Maybe Regent didn't notice, but I noticed that you need a new globe. Dhaka, Bangladesh is approximately 3,041 miles from Tokyo, Japan. And Bangladesh is located west-southwest of Japan.
 
LOL.....ok you got me !I meant to say south west..duh....my error I admit. and the milage was a "guesstimation" but thanks for point it out and duly noted...Other than that,they get paid to get it right and they have failed repeatedly in so many weeks.
 
There has been exceptionally heavy rainfall in India and Bangladesh, but a totally different weather system from the typhoon in Japan. The South Asian monsoon season has been quite severe this year.

Of course, I heard about it all on overseas broadcasters, not the local news. ;D

That was quite a "guesstimation", considering that the earth's circumference at the equator is only 25,000 miles. ;D

And if you were exaggerating, I've told you a million times not to do that...
 
I know i know ..damn me ::) None the less ..that had to be a Guinness type typhoon based on what Maria said.
 
Guys, lay off of PLEX. He has his mind on other things. See, Robert and him made a deal that he couldn't make it to the Idol finals singing only hippie rock, brit pop and disco. Wanna find out how he did? Turn on any friggin' TV in the city on tonight at 5, 6 and 10. Oy! ;D
 
Yeah Veritas Voice was my coach,damn if I'll listen to him again. He did make Tiny Tim a star however ,years back.:)
