KTWV changing formats is currently unlikely

I have listened to KTWV for over 15 years. Reading some other posts saying that KTWV could flip.

I talk to Carol Archer from radio and records all the time. Carol told me that KTWV did well on the PPM ratings and that KTWV did so well and has no chance of flipping. Carol feels that KMVN will be the next flip.

Are there some posters on this site that don't like the Smooth Jazz format and are haters of the format?

KTWV fell, in 25-54, 7 positions and is 17th in the sales demos in the June PPM test data. Were I in the management team there, I would be thinking of what is needed to bring the station up a bit, or, in the worst case, what can be done if that can't happen

KLSX and Movin are the prime candidates for change under PPM. We follow them with some stations like KTWV that did poorly in PPM vs. the diary, and KTWV heads that list.

We also have things independent on PPM, but "encouraged" by electronic measurement, such as the strength of CHR, the eventual need for stations like KFI to move to FM or simulcast on FM, etc.

There are more potential changes right now than at any time in the years I have been in LA:

David it quite right. We could see several format changes occuring within the next 12 months.
