Right Now KTWV HD 3 Has Added KTWV FM/HD1 Siginal Could It Be In A Middle Format Change

I hope CBS radio saw my reply that LA needs a Pulse on HD radio. I hope they move Sofie to 94.7hd2 and put Pulse radio on 97.1hd2. Let it become a reality :)

jeezus, are these guys deaf? distortion distortion distortion. where is my ipod. absolute most you can do is two 48kbps stations both playing music. 3 stations sounds like absolute hell.

maybe they will simulcast kyxy down in san diego

Entravision is already running Dance on 103.1-HD2. While I'm all for variety and choice, I'd rather see something that's not already covered... If CBS is piping in stations from other cities to fill HD channels, how about a real Triple A like WXRT in Chicago, or a harder-edged Rock station like X-treme in Las Vegas?

I'm sorry but KDLD HD2 doesn't cover southern california at all. It only covers maybe hollywood and Santa Monica area. Second, they are looping a cd of dance music. They been playing the same cd for over a year now. So I dont consider it a dance station at all.

I don't see any flip to AC coming soon. There's not even a whisper in the hallways around here. I would know something if that were true, because someone would be talking about it. Good news always leaks out early from somewhere else in this building. Even when they want to keep things quiet, someone has to share the inside information just to look good. Not that we couldn't beat the KOST. We've talked about it many times. That's for sure.

Apparently, The Wave is still billing fairly well so they might not get the boot right now, but I can totally see it going "Fresh" when that revenue goes away. It would probably take a stab at KOST and possibly KBIG.
I can see it already
Fresh 94.7...Today's Fresh Music

Many head to head competitors tried to beat KOST over the years, but at this point in time because of how weakened it is due to corporate cutting they could be more vulnerable than in the past. Still, you can't discount heritage and KOST has a good one. However, there are enough KOST alumni out there in need of work that a good attack could be mounted. Problem is, even if you beat KOST I don't see ratings being that high for either station. I see fragmentation. Fresh keeps being mentioned in threads here, but they didn't topple KOST's sister station in New York, so that might not be the best option. CBS does have KOST's architect Jhani Kaye in their stable and that could help them.

KIIS and KROQ both have heritage but we've seen what's happened there. KIIS was beat out 18-34... it's probably worse for KROQ because they've been fragmented heavier.

i have long thought that ktwv should directly challenge kost. i don't think it would be hard to shake the market up. i don't think we'll have much longer to wait.
