KTXO Midland-Odessa, TX

Alright so maybe this post belongs on the Rhythmic Oldies board but I have been giving this station a listen lately and have been pleasantly surprised. The imaging sounds just like the jammin oldies stations that started disappearing from places like San Antonio, Laredo, and McAllen back about 5 years after sprouting up for a few years in the early 2000s. The playlist though seems deeper in the urban arena, - this morning I heard the Mac Band, Loose Ends, Stacey Lattisaw and Johnny Gill as well as Luther Vandross Give me a reason, not typical jammin oldies fare.

I am curious as to whether this is a relatively new station or did it just start streaming? Maybe I should post that question on the the TX board.

Thanks for the info! Perhaps it only started streaming fairly recently. I do believe the Jammin Oldies stations had disappeared from Laredo, McAllen/Brownsville and San Antonio (all owned by Border Media) by 2007/2008 so this station signed on later if it went on the air in 2010. As I said the imaging seems to be quite similar to those earlier stations but the music from what I have heard may be better.
