KTXX - La Lupe

Something that may appeal to very (VERY) little people in this board, but here it goes anyways

KTXX has been blasting into the Houston area for the past couple of Nights (along with KISS HD) and sadly, it is something disappointing from BMP. Do they even listen to this station? Their liners are repeated about 6 times straight in between songs. Also, their audio volume goes from very high to very low when they are doing these liners. Just disappointing. It takes about 3 minutes to hear the next song. I like what they have going musically wise, but get it together BMP! It is embarrasing to even consider this a Station PERIOD. Also, their Stereo is off, I am assuming they do this so they can cover San Antonio better?

At the end of the day, it is better than that other Christian programming they were doing called La Luz.

I stopped reading after you referred to us a "very little" people.

Yeah, not many people are ecstatic about Spanish language radio. So I figured I pick out the couple of heads who don't give a damn about it. So this leaves me with, big surprise, no one.

Seriously, format put aside, I've never seen a station been so badly managed like this. All their liners are awful and it takes an eternity to play the next song.

They should at least broadcast the station in stereo.

This station has been a redheaded stepchild of BMP. Very difficult to deliver a signal to the transmitter site as it is literally in the middle of nowhere. Would take multiple STL hops, ISDN long distance fees too expensive, too far out for DSL. Last I knew signal was delivered via satellite uplink which is another reason it's not in stereo. More satellite bandwidth in which to pay for, for a station that's not viable in San Antonio. Never understood why they keep the LMA alive on this station other than bragging rights to claim they have 8 stations in the San Antonio market. ::) Ha! Ha! Ha!

I never understood why they have inside the ID // San antonio. Maybe a few people around south side may be able to pick it up with a Dipole, but not likely.

I havn't noticed a change in the signal, which it should be weaker when they move or if they move. That might actually help reception for San antonio. They have a good signal coverage in Victoria.
