If a tower falls and no advertisers or listeners notice, did it really fall?
Steve Eberhart said:rbrucecarter...so what is your position on IBOC anyway? oh, that's right, every single post you make seems to say something negative about IBOC...alright, GOT IT...you hate IBOC. thanks.

Frank Provasek said:The first adjacent channels are only available (c to c) with 150 mile spacing, (IBOC or not) so in no way are THREE frequencies wasted. Why do you hate HD radio? It's a robust, well engineered system, and people who actually own an HD radio are quite pleased?

Get a better radio. 96.5 from Houston booms in here in the mornings. It's a whole lot better than anything on the HD-2 channels of COUNTRY stations.
The FRC - forerunner of the FCC - was established to PREVENT interference on the radio. They have chosen to abandon their original mandate and actually legalized jamming of adjacent frequencies on AM and FM. Therefore, they should be disbanded and a new regulatory agency established to once again control interference. It has long been a principle in law that your freedom ends where your neighbor's nose begins. The moment it starts jamming other stations, HD radio violates that principle. I would welcome a digital system that causes no interference to anybody else.
