Dan Yorke provided as professional and top shelf a response to Gov. Chafee's attack on talk radio as you'll ever see.
Professional, reasoned and mature in every way.
Matt Allen has also been outstanding in the smart and meaningful way he's handled the same issue.
We are so very lucky to have such quality local talk.
Kudos to Helen Glover as well.
Never forget how talk radio is OUR media. Those who attempt to censor it are attacking US.
 
i listened to Dan,could not decipher what he meant

Chaffee has put Helen in the same camp as Buddy, those that attacked too much are shunned.

I like Helen, but, there are times too much Limbaugh rhetoric, I suppose she has to , in order to keep her job
 
Bottom Line. Chaffee is an idiot.He is the one shooting himself in the foot.He should use every medium possible to communicate with the public.How is he going to talk to the citizens of the state?

As payback. Everybody should refuse to carry his Non State of the State or whever you want to to call it Speech..

What comes around go's around/ he is ONLY going to be a ONE term Governor.
 
After the EMA briefing this afternoon, NO WONDER why Linc doesn't want to do talk radio....he could barely get by on a press briefing. He is also backing off his statement/edict.....sad day for those that have sat in the Governor's chair before him. Garrahy has got to be sitting at home shaking his head. Look at how the Blizzard of 78 shaped Garrahy's tenure and how the Governor spoke to the people and got us thru what happened on radio & TV!
 
Talk radio is NOT your Media, it's Fraid Sulmans.............. It's Barbara Haynes's Media. Ask John from Cranston. He says something negative about Cianci and they Ban him for 2 months. Talk radio does nothing for the people. It's turned into a sad joke. Tea Party heads have said as much. Rhode Island talk radio is very controled. Say the wrong thing and poof, youre dumped and banned, but what ever you all say is fine with me. I do think Matt and Dan do the best they can, but management is breathing down their necks. :(
