KUDOS to K-LOVE for...

...Their Fall Back Weekend. It has been a delight listening to classic Christian Contemporary music. Normally, I diss on K-LOVE and their glitzy awards shows, their giant fundraisers, etc., but hearing Michael W. Smith, 4Him, Kathy Troccoli, early Phillips Craig and Dean, even "Sing Your Praise to the Lord" by Amy Grant (1982!!!) makes me realize how special this radio format is. It has evolved as trends come and go.

Their throwback mix continues through tonight. I wish more CCM stations would have throwback weekends, or throwback lunch hours. Not everyone is interested in Forrest Frank.

For your Oldies fix, check out wpjb.org and be blessed. I like Forrest Frank and the newer sensations but still need my daily fix for the Oldies.

P.S When you stream, don't be surprised if you hear many of those forgotten classics that the others no longer play.

The Journey with Tom Dooley on Live 365 was recorded by the late host during the 90's and 2000's and features many of the great CCM artists of that time period. It is formatted similar to AT 40 with excerpts from literature and Scripture woven in between the musical selections. Each hour is a chapter in a series of themed programs intended to address life issues for the 20th/21st Century believers.
