Kudos To Michelle McPhee And Her Voice

Think someone might be reading these posts from WTKK or Michelle McPhee herself. Tuned her in this morning and it sounded like she was working on both her delivery and modulating her voice. She kept her voice in a lower register and pronounced her words more precisely without over doing it.

It was a marked improvement which allowed this listener to listen to what she was saying rather than to how she was saying it.

Kudos to Michelle McPhee. Hope is continues.

It will be an uphill battle, to be sure.

Tuned her in earlier this week and thought I was listening to Vera from Revere yukking it up in a coffee shop.

Wish her all the best, though. We learn by doing.

Hasn't happened for George W. Bush so far.
BTW, where are they going to build the Dick Cheney presidential liberry?

Poor George, he probably thinks... and that itself is a stretch.... the 'liberry' started in Liberia ;)

But should she be learning in a major (but not top ten) market radio station? Isn't that what R.I. is for? ::)

Sidebar: she also needs someone to pick better topics for her. What did she spend, three days hammering the little girl with her lip bite off story? Did she think someone was going to call in and say it was a good thing the little girl got mauled?

She still needs much practice....perhaps in a very, very, small daytimer in Cow Hampshire.... ;)

Usually anyone with an extreme Boston accent just bugs me....like any Kennedy or Menino, their voice just gets me, but I like Michelle, she's got that "hangin' with the guys on Castle Island drinkin' beers" quality.

I like her.

I've noticed the difference in Michelle McPhee's voice, too, and I think it's a big improvement. I'm sure WTKK hired a voice coach to help her. Good move!

I'd also like to see an improvement in Ms. McPhee's grammar. Michelle's on-air grammatical glitches make it difficult to believe that she earns a living as a writer.

Reporter, not a writer; and do you really think a stationwould spend money on a voice coach? It's not like she brings anything to the table herself.

Sisterhood is powerful, but not deaf. :p

McPhee should go to Portland or somewhere for a few years first. Then she might be ready.
