I just want to publicly commend Tracy for the classy way he handled Jeff & Jer's exit from Jack. They (and their listeners) were treated respectfully, and allowed to finish with what turned out to be a fun-filled, yet bittersweet and sometimes moving, three days.
In 20+ years of radio, I never saw any talent treated so graciously by the station they left. In fact, I know lots of guys who, upon giving their GM the courtesy of a two-week notice, were summarily canned. Or escorted out with no notice at the end of a random airshift. Not to mention those who simply arrived at work one day to find their passcard (or key, for us old-schoolers) no longer worked.
In a business filled with vipers, weasels and other assorted crawlies, Tracy has always stood out as a class act. And now he's proven it once more.
Way to go, man.
