I've got to give credit to 90.7 FM WVAS in Montgomery, Alabama for carrying the Gerald Ford memorial service in its entirety. They were the only public radio station in the area with the coverage and I really would like to commend the management and staff for taking the initiative to carry it.

WVAS technical Quality...

When I lived in Downtown Montgomery in Mid to Late 2004(Overlooking the Judicial buildings).... WVAS overloaded into my microphone and mixer board(Senheiser MD421U Mic and Radio Shack SSM1250 Mixer), they were un-useable for recording.

Driving around Motngomery, I could hear WVAS way too clearly on 90.4! In fact, when taking a bus out of town.. I heard WVAS on 90.4 all the way out to Tallassee!!! WVAS also had near full quieting stereo signal all the way up to 91.1 in most of town)

Why hi-jack a "KUDOS" thread and try to turn it into "b*tch & moan.
Yes, they have a lot of blanketing. There is a LOT of rf near the ground on their short tower.
Give 'em a break.

Give 'em a break?
They blaimed it on equipment that never got fixed...
