KULF 104.7 Victoria TX Broadcasting Again?

I've read that KULF is back on the air today with the Lone Star Radio format. According to the FCC database I checked, it has temporary permission (until mid-January 2009) to operate from a transmitter site in Ganado with just 400 watts of power.

hmmm
I may be down on Thursday I'll check it out. I'm up at near Austin now.

I don't know where you read that, but they are still off the air. I picked up KKYS on it this morning in stereo. I don't look for KULF to come on. I think they had a app. to move to 94.9. Doesn't look like KVIC will move to 104.7.

The info about KULF ran on the 100000watts.com website on Tuesday July 29. Said that KULF 104.7 has returned to the air with classic country as Lone Star FM. They're usually pretty accurate.

If KULF is operating with 400 watts from a temporary antenna in Ganado --as the FCC has given them permission to do until next January -- it's possible you may not be able to pick them up where you are.

Possible... but I wonder why they only have it at 400watts? That looks pointless.
