KUOW: We never knew ya!

News/Talk radio stations in the Northwest are scrambling for trauma specialists as the shocking news of KUOW's status as the REAL #2 radio station in Seattle spreads like a new Jay-Z MP3.

But what will this mean for news/talk? Could we be hearing more documentary-like programming (a blues history special on KOMO?) More REALLY in-depth news and political coverage that sees beyond the spin? Fewer 5 second sound bites?

Way to go KUOW!
______________

No!!! We need more time for more commercials. The trend will be even shorter stories and traffic reports between MEGA breaks filled with :15 commercials!

BTW, RRC's website is here:

Not to knock on KUOW, but down here in Portland 91.5 KOPB constantly hammers the rest of the Portland stations in 12+. Looking at the Summer 2005 info., looks like they're tied for #1 with Country station 98.7 KUPL.
Sure, everyone will chime in that 12+ doesn't mean anything for sales figures, but if you're a noncomm like that matters.
______________
