Kurt Wallace now in Cincinnati

I read on HisAir.net that Kurt Wallace is Cincinnati at WAKW now. I can't help but wonder how long he'll stay this time.

From what I understand, Kurt left Columbus for a family issue. His family was living in Indianapolis trying to sell their home, he was living in Columbus during the week and coming home on the weekend. He is driving everyday to Cincinnati. Can't fault him for wanting to be home everynight. Watch how you judge!

Judge?

Try 4 months at KXOJ. 1 month at KTIS. 6 at WCVO. It's called track record, Chief. We all like Kurt and wish him well. There's no doubt he's talented and a great guy. But the guy above here is just asking a question based in common sense. Lighten up.

None of us really knows why the moves happened. Sure, it is a little unusual in CCM to see a list of short stays like this. But let's hold off on making snap decisions about this. We don't know the circumstances surrounding these moves. They may be very justified and indeed necessary. Let's take the log out of our own eyes in every area of our lives before we step to judgement on anything. Frankly, it's no one's business except someone who's thinking of giving him a job. We should probably all stay out of it.

Should have seen the resume of the great Larry Lujack. 6 months here. Three months there. 1 week there. To mainstream, this is not a huge deal. Although not ideal, a radio track record like this is pretty common in mainstream. I think we're a bit sheltered in our CCM world. I don't think we'd see mainstream making as big a deal out of this as we are.

All of this to say best of luck to Kurt.

Yo Blaine, what stations have you worked at? Seems you keep a pretty tight watch on Wallace's career.

I had the privelege to work w/ Kurt @ 93-9 The Song. I know that he has had contracts to voice track any of a number of station in the country. It dose not suprise me that he would be "on" some stations for a short time.

I'll show you my resume if you'll show me yours.

Oh wait. This is a Christian room.

It's easy to give someone a "label" when you don't know the full story. He's a family man before anything. I respect him for this.

I thought Jay Carpenter was the morning man at The Song.

Good luck to Kurt. Good job of hanging in there. We can call him a true to life Johnny Fever ;D (hes in cicncy you know) ;)

Is Kurt able to do anything in Cincinnati? Isn't WAKW kind of a dump with no imagination or direction?
