I Am Listening To KUSC HD And It Say At The Bottom Screen "Keep The Music Alive" By Calling 1-800-421-1`717 Or KUSC.com

But I Think Nothin Will Happen On This station But a Major Siginal

That's their fundraising slogan. Nothing Earth shattering here.

I am a KUSC listener and financial supporter. They are holding their fall fundraising drive, OK? Nothing to be alarmed about and, no, they are not supported by CC

University of Southern California holds the license. The station is supported by listener contributions and "limited underwriting". All the talk elsewhere on this board about flipping formats and moves of a couple of tenths in the ratings - think about this - KUSC has programming that people are willing to shell out cold hard cash directly out of their pockets to support.

I saw an ad on VH1 talking about some "Save the Music" campaign! Does this mean VH1 won't show music videos anymore, I'm really scared they will go off the air! ::)

I got a letter from KUSC in the mail yesterday asking for money. I've never been a member before or affiliated in any other way. They claim they are trying to expand their membership base. I found it funny that I got a letter... they must be buying mailing lists.

Used to get those types of letters all the time from KCET. Anybody who listens to the station regularly knows about the requests for money. Trying to broaden the outreach, I guess.

I have been listeneing to a commercial classical station lately. I have not decided which is better - knocked over the head during a two week block, or pecked to death by ducks :)

I have concluded that USC is the better of the two, if you are referring to 105.1HD2. K-MOZART is a fraction of its former self

Actually I liked KKGO-HD2 once they got off the "all Beethoven all the time" kick.

The classical commercial station I am talking about is KHFM - Sante Fe/Albuquerque.
