KUTY Drops Local Talk, Flips To Spanish Next Week

KUTY drops Antelope Valley's only local talk, local hosts were fired right after their show Friday morning. the 5000 watt KUTY 1470 will swap formats with it's spanish programmed lower power sister AM KWJL 1380 running 1000 watts daytime 10 watts nights. Streamer XRQKFM.com will begin offering the AV local NEWS -Talk online in October.

This is very sad news. Ray did a great job with this station. KUTY went on the air in 1957. It was the station I grew up with in the late 1950's.
