KUTY. What format did it have.

As mentioned by Michael Hagerty, many eventual major-market jocks started at KUTY. They also include Mark Thomas/The Unknown DJ/Pat Garrett and Steve Dahl.

When was it that Mark Thomas & Steve Dahl worked at KUTY?

KDES Palm Springs later in 1973. MUCH nice facility than KUTY at that time. Al though $1.65 an hour for weekends was probably what KUTY would have paid (minimum wage in 1973).

A better facility is a good thing, and Palm Springs is a much nicer place to spend time than Palmdale. If I recall, KDES had a better reputation, as well, and for a longer stretch.

When was it that Mark Thomas & Steve Dahl worked at KUTY?

For Steve, it was probably just before or just after his gig at KPPC. He was there in early '72.

Bob Kingsley worked at 1470 kuty.
He got a sales job there.
