Yesterday afternoon... what was it? 9 months? less?

The ship was starting to list with the loss of Erin Hogan, but is it too late to shore things up?
 
ever since last year, clear channel has really been destroying themselves with getting rid of long time and good dj's. it probably will turn itself into a comapny that nobody would work for, they only have themselves to blame for turning the radio industry into nothingless for along time and they're company.
 
He was there six months to the day, I heard. The Longhorn football fans absolutely hated him and even the Host Communications people didn't like working with him. I guess they waited until football was over to let him go. What are they doing now in the afternoons? I haven't listened. But, yes, they have definitely turned into a place no one wants to work for.
 
It's just AJ Hoffman in the afternoons for now.. While I completely agree with the last two posts, this may be the firing that they got right..

Clear channel is really screwing themselves over big time.
I remember back last July I went up to Iowa for a freind of mines wedding and I remember telling someone about KISS FM in Mason City changing formats and how CC has really screwed themselves over for stupid crap that could probably be avoided. All the desicion making is from way up in corparate and they don't want to hear any complaints about the changes being made
 
What I'm trying to say is that it is clear channel and not the station firing people. They have pretty much been screwing them selves over in almost every market because of bad desicions. That's just one of the reasons I don't like CC
 
Actually, the people at the station (or actually cluster in this case) are making stupid moves. The wrong people are in charge. Yes, that is a function of Clear Channel and they have cut everything to the bone and don't care about producing a quality product, but the bottom line is the head people in Austin are screwing up just as much as the bigwigs in SA.

There was a interesting story in the Statesman today about KVET-AM.

i like to listen david anderson, along time sports announcer on austin radio. he used to be on koke-fm (now majic 95.5) and for a while i listen to him on espn austin. one of the great's.
