KVET mornings

Unfortunately, depending who you ask, there is either too much sports or not enough. The big problem is that when they pulled Bucky over from the Zone and then setup the simulcast for no other real reason then to save money, they justified it by saying they could serve both audiences by including both news/current affairs and sports. The problem is that the KVET-FM audience thinks there is too much sports and the KVET-AM audience thinks there is not enough sports. So KVET-AM has lost its audience and KVET-FM has not really gained anything. Its basically what has classically been refered to as a "clusterf**k". Look for some changes coming soon however (according to a little bird I know)....

A new talk radio show is coming to Austin. Just now sure if its on KVET or KLBJ-AM? Anybody heard an rumblings....? ???
The KVET "experiment" can't last long. Bob's been there, oh, how often? And it's becoming obvious that Bucky wants to be somewhere else as well. I think that was made clear in the last days with Erin.
And as for the KLBJ morning thing, pbbbbbbt! Is there a more predictable morning show in the known universe?
1. Set up straw man for Sgt. Sam
2. Ed says "now wait a minute, Sam!"
3. Mark pretends to referee
4. Everyone agrees how bad Democrats are and you break for traffic.
Boooor-ing!
The only thing THAT show has going for it is traffic and Fox News at the top of the hour. It's been so bad lately that I've written it off in favor of Bucky & Bob. Or is that Bob & Bucky? Whatever..... :
The entire mess speaks to the bankruptcy of talent that management has created in Austin radio.
And as for the KLBJ morning thing, pbbbbbbt! Is there a more predictable morning show in the known universe?

Yes, and it practically took the death of the station to force them to see the truth. They still won't spend any money though. Jon Madani is doing a good job working with what he's got, but its like trying to survive without food....you can only do it so long.
