I have found a very interesting station. It is KVHS @ 90.5. They id as THE EDGE. The format seems to be Rock, lots of Heavy Metal. I am surprised at how strong their signal is. They are from Concord and I live in Stockton. Does anyone know the history of this station? How old it is? What other formats they had or have they always been Rock? Sure beats the bland corporate radio stations out there.

Yes, its owned by Clayton Valley High School, its studio and transmiter there. So madmansam, is it better than KMRQ? BTW KVHS is 500 watts and has always been Active Rock, my aunt worked there in the '80s.
The general manager at KVHS is the wonderful Melissa McConnell (yes, that Melissa McConnell), while the faculty advisor is the terrific Tom Wilson (ex-KWUN). Quite a nice operation they've got over there.
