KVI, when do you want Rush back?

Entercom flips KQBZ due to, why else, low ratings. I'm not in Seattle with a local book, but 12+ numbers are a little lower than the format running average. Not bad though. An actual morning show could have fixed that.

Seeing that KQBZ targeted men 18-49, more specifically 18-34, lower 12+ numbers are acceptable. But sister Entercom talker KTTH has shown that people apparently don't want "the truth". Their target is adults 35-death, specifically men 45-death, and after poaching Rush from long-time affil KVI, they've done nothing but tank. You'd think with the large check they're writing to Premiere every year they'd realize that with the considerably larger pool of listeners for 770 vs. 100.7, that their ratings should be higher. Hell, they've even got has-been Mike Siegel on over there! Of course, Savage does a good show and is popular, so between the three of them, the boys at Entercom should be ready to throw their hands up in the air and do what they did in Portland. I'll expect to see standards on 770 within a week.

Seattle already has a standards station (KIXI). No need for two of them.

A more likely scenario is Rush moving to fill Prell's spot on KIRO (as iknowitall has predicted) and 770 flips back to all-news KNWX to take on KOMO.

I was somewhat joking but you might be onto something.

Where does Savage go?

Prell's spot?

Hasn't Prell already been gone for over a month, and didn't KIRO already officially announce that Ross was moving back to 9-noon?

I'm fairly certain that Kelly thinks he's going to get Rush back at KVI.
There was always something hokey in that deal to begin with.

One thing the "talkies" in Seattle don't seem to get is that the main reason (IMO) that KIRO owns TALK TIME in Seattle is because they are LIVE AND LOCAL 100% of the time.

For whatever reason, the genuises at the other two stations seem to think they are going to compete using canned, delayed nationally syndicated shows.

That only works on the overnight where Coast To Coast has owned late nights for years and years and years....The Tin Foil Hat People do stay up late and they aren't listening to Lou Pate.

And Tony Snow for God's sake? How many better shows can I name off the top of my head... Glenn Beck, Dr. Laura, Laura Ingraham (TRN would take being moved out of oblivion)... on and on and on. When does Tony Snow beat Rush? The Fox News excuse doesn't fly... tell them to shove it. Fox talk shows all suck.
