I swear that they are ALWAYS on top of ANY new rhythmic or top 40 hit that is dance influenced, and many times they even beat the other stations that aren't even latin or spanish format!
I'm a bit upset on letting my latin music taste die down over the past few years because if I kept the exact same taste in music that I had back in 2005 - 2006, Club 95 Latino Vibe (KVIB 95.1) would be the PERFECT station for me right now! Why can't we have a non-latin rhythmic station that is willing to play the same amount of uptempo hits, and on top of that, playing them early?
EVERY SINGLE TOP 40 OR RHYTHMIC HIT THAT SOUNDS DANCE INFLUENCED, EVEN TO THE SLIGHTEST, THEY PICK UP IN REGULAR ROTATION TO PLAY WITH THEIR OTHER LATIN RHYTHM HITS, AND THIS IS REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT THE SONG IS IN SPANISH.
Here's a brief summary of some of the english dance hits they broke, and most of the time, broke first:
Lady GaGa - Pokerface
Akon - Beautiful
David Guetta - Love is gone
Bob Sinclair - World hold on
Flo-Rida - Sugar
Dj Laz - Move shake drop
Madcon - Beggin
Black Eyed Peas - Boom boom pow
Katy Perry - Hot & Cold
Britney - Womanizer
Kid Cudi - Day 'N' Nite (Crookers remix)
Rihanna - Disturbia
Neyo - Closer
LMFAO - I'm in Miami
The Pussycat Dolls - I hate this part (example of what I meant by "dance influenced, even to the slightest..")
Flo Rida - Right round
Nicola Fasano vs. Pat Rich - 75 Brazil Street
Far*east Movement - Girls on the dance floor
Britney - Circus...
And this does not include some of the dance hits and remixes in their mixshows, which take place at 7am, 12pm 5pm and 10pm, or the dance hits they have in rotation that are in spanish! They might as well just add Craig David "Insomnia" and call it a day... or whatever they ant to call it. I don't listen too often, but I check in every now and then and I swear every time I discover something new, I end up hearing it on 95.1 KVIB while flipping through.
