KVIB SOLD TO LIBERMAN BROADCASTING

How low can that sales price go? The Nurse and I bet the owner of Movin' doesn't want to know!

Hell, in the mid 20's I would have purchased it and automated it. making the Valley's 5th talk station. ;)

I guess the stations that are for sale "Need" to advertize in the open.

Maybe the good DR. & Nurse would have added it to their collection
of lightning rods.

No, he does other formats, too. He even has a Vietnamese speaking station in Orange County!

It's never been done on a half decent signal, so there is no way of knowing this.

and so is the so called "Latin Rythmic" format!

The differences between pop and rhythmic are really minimal.

Stereotype alarm is sounding...

I checked the playlists of Liberman's LA and Riverside regional Mexican formatted stations and only about 10 of 278 songs played are "mariachi" (more correctly, ranchera).

Does anyone have an idea what format might be coming? Would they replace the current format, Spanish-CHR or would they change it?
Thoughts??

I'd bet real money that it is the Liberman formula of hard core regional Mexican, like KBUE in LA. Don Cheto mornings, with a TV station purchase to be announced very soon.

Maybe our friend.. "The Old Gringo" should be consulting it. It might have a fairly good chance of knocking off The Valley's #1#2 News/Talk station. :p

I have worked for the buyer and doing that again is as enticing as going to have a recreational root canal.

Maybe they should look at some of the AM's in town that are up for sale and combine them all to be more effective. TV, FM, AM. Yeehaw! I smell rawhide, and cow-dung and hear the polka sounds coming as we speak!
