KVIE-TV and CapRadio proposes a merger

CapRadio Endowment Proposes TV Takeover Of Troubled Group - Radio Ink Note this started out as an issue over CapRadio's Financial issues and Sacramento State University's response to the issues. But now there are proposed talks to merge PBS affiliate KVIE with CapRadio. If this is approved then this would be one of one of many media markets where the PBS affiliate also owns the NPR affiliate. Notable examples are Sac States sister outlet KPBS Public Media San Diego and KQED Inc in San Francisco.

I attended Sac State, and am from, and currently in, San Diego. I kind of enjoy that sense of cohesion with KPBS TV and Radio. I am much, much more a consumer of NPR than PBS. I feel like PBS isn't what it used to be. But it's all still important.

Would the calls change to KVIE as well?
