KVIL - BUSTED!

Just for grins I turned on my HD radio at the same time KVIL was airing their Smooth Jazz Sunday Brunch and the music is THE SAME! Tempie is just talking over the HD 107.5-2 feed and they insert spots over a song. Is this common?

Not surprised. It saves them $$$. When I used to work the Brunch with Tempie some 5 years ago, it took an engineer (Bob Elmore) and a board op at the station (Ben Martin) to complete the process (let alone me fending off the groupies from Tempie!) I'd guess they said, "Tempie, learn how to use a Blue Box," and she simply dials in, monitors the return feed, and just starts talking when the songs wind down.

On the positive - The Oasis feed is true smooth jazz. I think I heard only two songs with vocals... Sade and Anita Baker.

There's no reason to duplicate the programming when reusing it saves resources.
Spoken like a true Kurt Johnson. :D

Kool-Aid, anyone?

I'm not sure if its the same "feed" or not, but I do know Tempie is in there with a board op. Don't really know if that clears anything up or not.
