Just yesterday, CBS-owned 103.7 KVIL in Dallas/Fort Worth turns out the "Lite" (rimshot) after almost 8 years and reverted back to its call letters as its branding. This time, they've retooled its AC format to include the "Best Variety from the 90s to Today". It looks like it's following in the footsteps of it's Chicago Sister station WCFS-FM (formerly "Fresh 105.9"), with a playlist reminiscent to the "Mix 102.9" days.
I took a look at their playlist and in addition to the modern songs they already have during the "Lite FM" era, they also thrown in these hits not normally heard on an AC station:
- "Under the Bridge" by Red Hot Chili Peppers
- "If You Could Only See" by Tonic
- "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People
- "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve
- "Animal" by Neon Trees
- "Stereo Hearts" by Gym Class Heroes
- "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence
