If they were ever going to flip to top 40 to compete w Kiss, the time would be now. Sad rationale, but it seems like the obvious move. KVIL was the Kiss FM of the late 70's-80's, hands down.

I think if 103.7 flipped to Amp, Cumulus would flip i93 to The Ticket. It would be a real Top 40 war then...

Now if we could just get the new station to give away use of a new car, every year, for the rest of your life like KVIL did at one time,,I will never forget that promotion (and asking listeners to send in cash)

Because the smaller signal would be getting out of the way so two powerhouse signals, (103.7 and 106.1), could get their battle on.

A top 40 war against Kiss? More like a ratings war between CBS and Cumulus. CBS hasn't matched up well against CC's most established CHRs.
